Sonoma County Wood Recovery Report Now Available
Regenerative Forest Solutions is pleased to share our latest co-authored report, “Assessing the Viability of Wood Recovery and Utilization in Sonoma County.” The timely 9-page Executive Summary and 178-page full report, provide recommendations for increasing positive social, ecological and economic outcomes that we otherwise refer to as the forest stewardship economy.
Building upon a 20+ year legacy of active forest restoration and conservation efforts in the county, the time is right to grow Sonoma County’s capacity to effectively steward our 513,000 acres of forested lands. To do so, the report finds that our county needs more infrastructure, an increased workforce with liveable wages, improved markets to support regional, climate-smart wood products, and a dedicated organization to implement recommendations.
